VHA Wins Two 2025 A-List Awards

We are pleased to announce that VHA has won two 2025 A-List Awards for our recently completed Inspired Greek Revival design. Each year, athome in Fairfield County magazine’s A-List Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in residential and commercial design.

Taking its cues from Greek Revival precedent, our state-of-the-art Inspired Greek Revival project took home its first trophy in the category of Office/Library.

A cozy, Greek Revival living room features two curved beige sofas facing each other across nested marble coffee tables. Two textured blue armchairs sit near windows draped in teal curtains, while vibrant abstract paintings hang on the paneled walls beneath a modern gold chandelier.

Wrapped entirely in a warm, honeyed wood tone, this library creates a cocooning effect that balances stateliness with softness. The paneled walls, custom built-in bookcases, doors, and mantelpiece are all crafted in the same finely grained wood, which extends seamlessly across the barrel-vaulted ceiling. This continuity unifies the room, allowing the refined millwork and rich architectural detailing to shine without distraction.

A Greek Revival wooden fireplace with a still-life painting above sits in a living room featuring two curved, peach-colored sofas. A round marble coffee table with a vase of orange calla lilies stands on a gray patterned rug, with open doorways leading to adjacent rooms.

The fireplace, with its tailored mantelpiece and matte black surround and firebox, anchors the room in quiet elegance. Brass-accented sconces and a sculptural modern chandelier subtly echo the neoclassical roots of the home, while contemporary art and furniture bring fresh energy. At one side of the room, an office alcove that can be concealed behind wide pocket doors offers functionality without compromising the library’s atmosphere of calm sophistication.

A brass wall sconce hangs on wood-paneled walls above a dark fireplace mantel in a Greek Revival interior. To the right, a vibrant, stylized still-life painting features fruit on a blue table. Through an open doorway, a glimpse of a room with a mirror and blue furniture is visible.

VHA earned the second A-List Award for our Inspired Greek Revival’s primary bathroom design – a serene and sophisticated space that reinterprets Greek Revival tradition through a lens of contemporary luxury.

Custom-designed cabinetry anchors the space with classical symmetry, while pale blue lacquered finishes echo the tones of the surrounding stone. Every surface is unified by a striking, bespoke blue marble, used not only for wainscoting and base trim, but for door casings, chair rails, and even the full-height shower wall panels. This singular material choice gives the room a jewel-box quality, elevating every element within it.

A Greek Revival double vanity with a white countertop and light blue cabinets stands against a wall of dramatic blue and white marbled stone. Two rectangular mirrors hang from chains above the sinks, flanked by tall matching storage towers and vertical sconces.

The dual-sink vanity is flanked by mirrored towers, subtly integrated for concealed storage. Mirrors are suspended in front of the marble wall, framed in warm metal and paired with vertical sconces for a soft, flattering glow. The pendant overhead adds a sculptural presence, complementing the classical detailing with modern simplicity.

In the bay window, a freestanding metal-clad soaking tub sits beneath sheer roman shades, offering a moment of repose with a view of the garden beyond. The tub’s placement and polished surround enhance the room’s reflective elegance. To the side, portals framed in the same honed blue stone lead to the marble-clad shower and private water closet. The meticulous stonework carries seamlessly into these enclosures, ensuring continuity and immersion.

Together, the architecture and finishes convey a sense of thoughtful permanence. At once restrained and richly layered, this bath exemplifies how rigorous classical design can be adapted with a modern sensibility, elevating comfort and ritual through material and proportion.

Our Inspired Greek Revival project was designed in collaboration with interior designer Kelly Rosen Design and general contractor Tallman Building Company, Inc. We’d like to thank athome in Fairfield County and the A-List Award judges for recognizing our work.
